Types of Braces

Personalized technology lets your orthodontist create individual, precise braces designed specifically for you by the latest in orthodontic computer technology and robotics.

SureSmile is 100% customized!

With SureSmile, the creation, structuring, placement and analysis of your braces are worked out completely before the doctor situates any of your appliances. This is made possible by computer technology that allows a 3-D image of your mouth, teeth and jawbone to be captured digitally, allowing both you and the doctor to see the initial structures and possible alterations that can be made.

Because the details are worked out beforehand, patients have to deal with fewer alterations to the structure of their appliances. This, in turn, leads to a shorter treatment time because the alignment is placed correctly from the beginning and then adjusted, not by hand, but by robotic “hands” that restructure your archwires with a greater degree of accuracy than previously possible. In addition, because the archwires are more precisely fitted to your teeth, your braces are more comfortable.

A shorter treatment time means fewer office visits, which gives you more freedom.

Invisalign® Aligners

Invisalign treatment is the clear way to straighten teeth without braces, using aligners. Aligners are removable and virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing; and you can still eat and drink what you want. Also, you can brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth; and there are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions.

Many of our patients had never considered traditional braces, but are now happily and comfortably improving their smiles with Invisalign aligners.

What is Invisalign treatment?

  • Invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces.
  • Series of clear, removable, custom-made aligners.
  • Uses no metal wires or brackets.
  • Custom-made for comfort.

How do Invisalign aligners work?

  • Wear each set of aligners for about two weeks.
  • Remove only to eat, drink, brush and floss.
  • Your teeth will move gradually each week.
  • Visit us every 8-10 weeks.
  • Total treatment time averages 6-15 months.
  • Average number of aligners is between 18 and 30.

Lingual Braces

Having braces doesn’t mean you have to have a “tin grin.” Our office also uses lingual braces, which attach to the lingual side (tongue side) of your teeth. These appliances are well-suited for adults, who may worry about the aesthetic nature of regular metal braces.

Lingual braces are also custom-fit for your teeth and treatment plan. While the fronts of your teeth are fairly consistent, the back side of each tooth has its own distinctive shape. Thus, each bracket must be manufactured for each individual patient.

You can receive the dramatic results of orthodontic treatment without anyone knowing, as the braces are virtually invisible. Ask us if lingual braces are right for you.
